SIT Welding-Bar Tray Shrink Wrap Bundler
The Autopack SIT is a medium-speed welding-bar shrink wrap bundler with inline infeed, built for pre-loaded trays, boxes, and stacked rigid items. A tray packer (Autopack CZH/CUH or equivalent) erects, collates, and loads the tray. The SIT sits in a straight line after it, wraps the tray in a two-roll film sleeve, and shrinks it for the palletizer.
It does not erect trays and it does not collate loose bottles. Typical speed is 12–18 trays per minute; Holland rates the family up to 22 trays/min depending on tray size. That is the economical tray-and-shrink machine. For printed film and ~40 trays/min, use SIT CMOS.
How the SIT wraps a tray
- Tray packer (upstream). Autopack CZH/CUH (or another loader) forms the tray, collates product, glues, and discharges.
- Inline infeed. The loaded tray feeds straight into the SIT — Autopack’s “direct connection.” Optional 90° or inline outfeed.
- Welding bar. Two film rolls form a curtain. The tray is pushed through; the bar seals top and bottom, cuts, and remakes the curtain.
- Shrink tunnel. Heat tightens the sleeve around tray and product.
- Discharge. Finished tray-and-shrink packs go to the palletizer.
