SLO CMOS Shrink Wrap Bundler for Oval Bottles
The SLO CMOS is a continuous-motion overlap shrink wrap bundler with side infeed. It is built for oval, rectangular, and round bottles that must be turned into the right orientation before they are wrapped — lotion, shampoo, deodorant sticks, pharmaceutical bottles, and similar packs.
A feedscrew pre-orients each bottle. The machine collates the pack pattern you set, wraps it in a single roll of film, and seals under the bundle with a bottom overlap. That overlap is what lets you run registered printed film for retail branding. Single-track lines run up to 45 cycles per minute. Dual- and triple-track configurations reach about 90 to 135 packs per minute.

How the SLO CMOS wraps a pack
- Side infeed. Product enters from the side, not straight-on. That is how oval bottles get the space they need to rotate.
- Feedscrew pre-orientation. A timing (feed) screw turns each bottle into the pack orientation you programmed.
- Collation. Guides and flights group the bottles into the numbered pattern on the HMI.
- Single-roll wrap. One film roll wraps the pack. The loose ends overlap under the bundle — no top-and-bottom welding bar.
- Shrink tunnel. Heat fuses the overlap and shrinks the film tight. Printed graphics stay registered.
- Discharge. The finished multipack is stackable and ready for the case packer or palletizer.
If your bottles are round and already in lane, look at the SIM CMOS (inline infeed) instead. If you want a lower-cost sleeve with a welding bar, see the SLO welding-bar bundler.
Why plants choose the SLO CMOS
It solves oval bottles. Most shrink bundlers assume round containers. The SLO CMOS is the Autopack overlap machine designed to rotate ovals first, then wrap.
Printed film looks like a retail pack. Bottom overlap uses one roll, so registered print is simpler and graphics are not cut by a top weld.
Speed without a huge footprint. Up to 45 cycles/min on a single track; dual/triple track multiplies output. Autopack rates three-track lines up to 135 packs per minute. Conventional motors — no servo drives required.
Quick SKU changes. Changeovers are fast and largely tool-less, which matters on cosmetic and pharma lines with many bottle sizes.
Built for clean rooms and washdown. Stainless-steel, GMP-minded construction. Allen-Bradley PLC and HMI on Holland-supplied systems.
Options for the hard packs. High product stabilizer, aerosol tunnel, tear-strip perforation, dual lane, and feedscrew infeed.
At a glance
- Continuous-motion overlap shrink bundler with side infeed
- Built for oval, rectangular, and round bottles (also cans and cartons)
- Feedscrew pre-orientation of bottles
- Bottom overlap seal — one film roll, ideal for printed / registered film
- Up to 45 cycles/min single track; dual/triple track for higher output (up to ~135 packs/min)
- Fast, largely tool-less changeover
- Compact footprint vs. typical high-speed overlap systems
- Integrated control and user-friendly HMI
- Stainless-steel construction
- Popular in pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and personal-care plants
Popular Options:

No. Autopack rates it among the faster overlap machines using conventional motors.
Yes. Compact stainless construction and high speed in a small footprint are why Autopack positions the SLO CMOS for those industries. Holland can discuss GMP finish and integration with your line.
Same family, different seal and speed. The SLO welding-bar is a medium-speed sleeve wrapper. SLO CMOS is continuous-motion, faster, one film roll, and built for print.
Yes. Bottom overlap plus a print-registration device is the reason plants specify CMOS when they want branded film.
Up to 45 cycles per minute on a single track. Dual track is about 90 packs per minute; three-track configurations are rated up to 135 packs per minute, depending on bottle and pack pattern.
One roll of film wraps the pack and the ends overlap under the bundle. The shrink tunnel fuses that overlap. You get a tight pack and a clean surface for printed film, unlike a welding-bar sleeve that seals top and bottom.
On a straight inline infeed, an oval often arrives the wrong way for the pack. Side infeed plus a feedscrew turns the bottle so the wide face sits correctly in a 2×3, 3×2, or similar collation.
Oval, rectangular, and round bottles, plus cans and cartons. It is the overlap-seal Autopack bundler for containers that need to be rotated before wrapping — typical of cosmetics, personal care, and pharmaceutical bottles.
